Hizo los estudios eclesiásticos en Roma, donde sin duda conocería a los escolapios. De vuelta a su país, en [[1652]] fue nombrado obispo de Nitra (Eslovaquia), y en [[1666]], arzobispo de Esztergom (Hungría).<br /> <br /> En su testamento dejó a los escolapios la iglesia y las escuelas arrebatadas a los luteranos en Sväty Jur (Eslovaquia). Se construyó entonces un nuevo edificio, parcialmente terminado en [[1694]], y allí se trasladaron las escuelas.<br /> <br /> El colegio sufrió los contratiempos de la historia, y así al final de la Primera Guerra Mundial, al crearse Checoslovaquia, los escolapios húngaros tuvieron que abandonar la obra. Los escolapios checos no eran suficientes para atender todas las obras dejadas. En Sväty Jur alquilaron la escuela y se dedicaron a atender el culto en la iglesia.
