Fue Rector del internado de Loewenburg, en Viena ([[1748]]-[[1751]]), del Colegio Josefino a la vez que párroco de Maria Treu ([[1751]]-[[1753]]), de la Academia de Saboya ([[1753]]-[[1756]]) y finalmente provincial ([[1758]]-[[1759]]). Enseñó a los clérigos de la Orden la lengua hebrea. El P. Kapeller poseyó un notable conocimiento de las humanidades (filología y lenguas orientales), así como de la teología y filosofía. El obispo escolapio de Györ (Raab, en Hungría), P. Adolfo Groll, lo llamó a su seminario como profesor de Dogmática y Derecho Canónico. Editó los Salmos en hebreo y griego, con las explicaciones y comentarios del P. Groll, ofrecidos en nombre de la Provincia de Austria a M.ª Teresa, Reina de Hungría (Viena [[1757]], dos tomos). El nombre del P. Kapeller va unido asimismo a la terminación de la iglesia de Maria Treu. Siendo en efecto Rector del Colegio Josefino de Viena firmó el 9-3-[[1752]], un contrato con el pintor A.
